Free laboratory tool
Calculate concentration from documented material mass and final volume, then preserve the result as part of a traceable research-use-only batch record.
Interactive worksheet
Enter the documented vial mass and final solution volume. The optional aliquot field calculates material mass per laboratory aliquot.
Calculated record
01 · Source
The calculator cannot verify fill mass, identity, purity, solvent compatibility, or final volume. Those values must come from the accepted lot record and validated method.
02 · Review
Preserve the source values, units, significant figures, calculation reviewer, and date. Do not overwrite the parent concentration when documenting a working dilution.
03 · Record
Attach the result to the exact supplier lot, COA, solvent lot, prepared-material ID, method version, acceptance result, and storage record.
Research boundary
This tool performs unit arithmetic only. It does not select a solvent, validate a protocol, establish sterility or stability, recommend a concentration, or provide dosing, injection, treatment, compounding, route, or personal-use instructions.
Use the laboratory's validated SOP and material-specific evidence. If a value is missing, unsupported, or inconsistent with the batch record, stop and resolve the discrepancy rather than calculating from an assumption.
Continue the record
Connect the concentration calculation to COA review, solvent documentation, vial labelling, storage assumptions, acceptance criteria, and deviation handling.
